I was wondering if any one else besides me listens to music while painting , and if so does it influence or inspire you at all. This question particularly relates to Terry Brown because of the dramatic style in which the work comes across. As an experiment I painted two pieces both of the same subject , one to music and one without , the difference was quite amazing. Firstly the one painted to music was brighter and more dramatic with the use of more vivid colour.

I too always have classical music or a mixture in my headphones while painting . It helps you get lost in the painting and the painting almost takes over and paints itself.
The next time I will compare my paintings with which music I was listening to.
